All about the SALTA & JUJUY – 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS.

Tour of the most surprising and traditional places in northwestern Argentina. Starting in the Valley of Lerma, where the cities of Salta and Cafayate are located. This region of mountains with imponderable natural attractions, offers among its fertile and warm valleys an unparalleled sequence of nature, customs and stories. Continuing then by the Puna: region as diverse as the only one in the whole planet, visiting then the Quebrada de Humahuaca, place of meeting and union between different cultures and environments and ending our journey in the place of beginning (city of Salta).

  1. DAY 1 SALTA

    Arrive in Salta and transfer to the Hotel.
    In the city tour you will visit the most attractive places: the Cathedral, the Americas’ cultural center, the North historic Museum (Cabildo), San Francisco Basilica, San Bernando Convent and its panoramic view of the city, the Craft Market and the summer village of San Lorenzo.

  2. DAY 2 SALTA / CAFAYATE

    The excursion begins in the Lerma Valley, where we are going through a
    tobacco growing field and villages with colonial architecture. Traveling along the “Quebrada del Río de Las Conchas” and due to wind and water erosion, discover the different shapes of the rock formations such as ”The Monk”, ”The Fungi”, ” The Natural Theatre”, ”The Devil’s Throat”, and ”The Castle”. We will arrive in Cafayate, a city international recognized for its wines, especially for its Torrontés. You can try it when you visit the wineries.
    Going back to Salta.

  3. DAY 3 SALTA /SAN ANTONIO DE LOS COBRES / SALINAS GRANDES / PUMAMARCA

    We will travel along the Tren de las Nubes’ railroad track, next to ”Quebrada del Toro”. We start ascending so we can reach 4080 meters above sea level.
    We arrive to San Antonio de los Cobres. We take a lunck break. Then, we will go throught the National Route 40 so we can get to Salinas Grandes, located in the limit between Salta and Jujuy. Next, we start descending the Lipán Slope. There you may see condors. Arrive in the little town of Pumamarca where you can see the Cerro de los Siete Colores.

  4. DAY 4 PUMAMARCA /HUMAHUACA / SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY / SALTA

    Departure from Pumamarca so we can start our trip to the Quebrada. It was declared by the UNESCO World Heritage. We will go through La Posta de los Hornillos and the Capricorn Tropic. We will visit the Uquía Church where we can find the painting of the Arcabuceros’ Angels.
    We will arrive in Humahuaca where we can visit the Cathedral and Independence Monoument (El Indio). After lunch we go back so we can see the Paleta del Pintor located in Maimara town. Arrive in San Salvador de Jujuy so we can visit the city. Going back toy Salta.
    Night in Salta.

  5. DAY 5 SALTA

    Free day so you can tour this beautiful city on you own. Transfer to the airport.
