TRELW - PUERTO MADRYN / PUNTA LOMA
Welcome by your guide at Trelew airport early morning. Transfer to Puerto Madryn (34 miles – paved road).
Early check-in at the Territorio Boutique Hotel.
Around noon we take a drive along the picturesque coastline and make a stop at Punta Loma Protected Area, a colony of Southern Sea lions. We continue to Cerro Avanzado, a beautiful spot where Zonotrikia Gourmet staff will be waiting for you with a special outdoor gourmet lunch at the so-called ”Balcon del Cerro” (Hill Lookout).
Dinner is not included. We recommend the hotel restaurant.
PUERTO MADRYN / PENÍNSULA VALDES
We leave early morning for Peninsula Valdes, UNESCO World Heritage Site. First stop is the Visitor Centre Carlos Ameghino (44 miles), a perfect introduction to the UNFORGETTABLE PENINSULA VALDES EXPERIENCE.
Late morning we arrive at the Nature Reserve Estancia San Lorenzo, hosting the world’s largest Magellanic penguin rookery.
You will walk along special trails exclusive to researchers and very few visitors. Lunch will be served at the hundred year-old- sheep-shearing barn. The menu includes traditional lamb BBQ and red wine produced in Patagonia.
After lunch, a thirty-minute drive away is the Protected Area Punta Norte, where depending on the time of year we can observe sea lions, elephant seals, or both! However, the highlight of the day is the afternoon whale watching boat tour to encounter Southern Right whales in Puerto Piramides. Puerto Piramides, the only town on the peninsula, is according to the National Geographic the best place in the world for whale watching and has recently been granted the World Travel Award 2019 as best destination for whale watching in South America.
Transfer back to Puerto Madryn at sunset.
Dinner is not included. We recommend the restaurant En Mis Fuegos.
TRELEW - DEPARTURE
Transfer to Trelew airport will be organized according to your flight schedule. End of services.
