The Bariloche Adventure Week program go through the best areas of Nahuel Huapi National Park and Northern Patagonia: Lakes, Forests, mountains, steppes and rivers. A fascinating travel experience in the Lake District for nature lovers and outdoor activities, along with active tourism professionals.

  1. DAY 1 ARRIVING DAY

    Reception San Carlos de Bariloche Airport/Bus Station
    Transfer at Hotel and Check In. Meeting and presentation of the guides and itinerary.
    Welcome dinner at local restaurant.

  2. DAY 2 CERRO BELLA VISTA TREK

    Pick up at the Hotel, private transfer to the start of the trekking trail, approximately 30 minutes from the city of San Carlos de Bariloche.
    We will start this magnificent trekking little known and rough by a Coihues forest of great size and then we will cross the different species of the transition forest (forests of Cipreses and Radales mainly).
    The path begins to get steeper, but step by step we will gain height and have a better panoramic view of the landscape. With a clear view towards the East we can distinguish the Patagonian steppe, the Nahuel Huapi Lake and the surroundings of San Carlos de Bariloche.
    After crossing a beautiful Lengas forest and its flower fields of Amancay we will leave the vegetation and begin to travel through rocky terrain. In a few minutes we will reach the edge or ”Shoulder” that will allow us to contemplate a spectacular view towards the Northwest, distinguishing Moreno Lake, Victoria Island, LLao LLao Hotel and Cerro López among others.
    After taking some photographs, hydrating and savoring some snacks we will continue our trekking through a marked and beautiful edge that will take us to the Cerro Summit.
    From the highest and its 1800 meters. of height, a panoramic 360º opens, being able to appreciate and discover great amount of surrounding hills and the imposing Cerro Tronador, with its eternal glaciers that guard the Mountain range of the Andes between Argentina and Chile.
    After a tasty outdoor mountain lunch and enjoy this ”Bella Vista” we will begin the descent. In approximately 3 hours of trekking, we will arrive at the base, where our vehicle awaits us to return to the city of San Carlos de Bariloche.

  3. DAY 3 BRAZO TRISTEZA KAYAK DISCOVERY

    Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Bahía López, located 30 kilometers from the city of Bariloche. There the kayak guides will give a safety talk, review the basic techniques of paddling and the participants will be provided with all the equipment of kayak and specific clothing for the activity. During this day of kayaking, paddle one of the arms of Nahuel Huapi Lake, the Tristeza Arm, where we will discover waterfalls, vertical walls that fall on the water, solitary beaches, lush native vegetation and imposing views of the hills that surround this estuary. The moments to relax and take pictures will always be present. We will stop to recharge our batteries and enjoy a tasty lunch on the shores of the lake with views of the imposing Cerro Tronador, enjoying the tranquility that takes over the place. In the afternoon we will continue exploring other areas in kayak until we return to the starting point, where our vehicle awaits us to return to Bariloche in the afternoon.

  4. DAY 4 DISCOVERING THE STEPPE MTB TOUR

    We will go to the east of the Nahuel Huapi National Park bordering the homonymous lake to discover the ”Patagonian Steppe” in a mountain bike day. Our itinerary starts at the place known as ”Villa Llanquín”. Throughout the day, we will pedal along side roads and unused footprints on the banks of the Limay River, the valley of the Chacay stream. Our support vehicle will be present throughout the journey. We will discover incredible rock formations, the typical vegetation of the steppe, imposing views from a viewpoint, caves and the crystalline waters of the Limay River that flow towards the Pacific Ocean in a meandering route.
    It is very common to distinguish animals like guanacos, hares or foxes, as well as to cross with some gaucho on horseback by herding cattle.
    Return to the city of Bariloche for a shower and relax at the Hotel.

  5. DAY 5 RAFTING CLASS III/IV

    Transfer to the Manso River Valley (Frontera section), where this Rafting adventure begins in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. On the banks of the river, we have a coffee, we put the equipment for navigation and we take charge of the head guide, we are ready to sail in the last stretch of the Manso in Argentine territory. In the first section the tranquility of the river allows us to appreciate the surroundings, enjoy the white sand beaches and observe the waterfalls that from the top of the river. Then the Manso becomes more impetuous. In our raft we draw exciting rapids through narrow canyons where the exuberant vegetation of the area appears: The Velvet Cajon, Ozone Hole, Gritá and turn left, El Tobogancito, Deep Throat, Ecstasy, Scrambled Egg, Fang and International … The gorges accompany our tour of the Andes Mountain Range.
    When it reaches the limit with Chile the navigation concludes, the Border Landmark crowns the place. We load the equipment and we undertake the return to the Estancia de John by the new road that crosses an old trail of arrieros. Transfer to Bariloche arriving at 6.00 pm approx.

  6. DAY 6 BARILOCHE SOFT HIKE + TOAST IN HEIGHT

    In this soft hike, or soft trekking, but super scenic we will walk and explore the area of the Llao Llao Park and Hill. We will cross through an area of Coihues forests of great size, Caña Colihue, a beautiful meadow, infinity of Patagonian flowers and as we gain altitude we will distinguish other tree species such as the Cypress and the Radal (transitional forest).
    After approximately 45 minutes, we begin to appreciate the magnitude of the landscape with the Nahuel Huapi Lake, its Islands and neighboring hills, such as Cerro Capilla, Millaqueo and López.
    It is possible during the trekking to be surprised by the singing of the Chucao or the tapping of a woodpecker on a tree.
    From the summit of Cerro Llao LLao, our vision to the south becomes wider, distinguishing Lake Moreno, Lago Escondido and the entrance doors to the arms Blest and Arm Sadness.
    At the summit, we will enjoy a ”Toast of Height” accompanied by Patagonian delicacies. We will begin our descent by the versante NO to the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Celebration Lunch at Patagonia Brewery. Transfer to the hotel

  7. DAY 7 DEPARTURE DAY

    Breakfast, relaxing time in the morning to go shopping or visit the city. Transfer to the Airport / Bus Terminal.
