EL CHALTÉN: RAFTING EXPERIENCE RÍO DE LAS VUELTAS – HALF DAY

This experience takes place in the Rio de Las Vueltas, with daily departures at 10am. and 3pm., from Mil Outdoor offices in El Chaltén. There, each passenger is provided with the technical equipment, and is transported to the entrance area to the river, where the technical and safety procedure is provided. The first zone consists of 6 km of calm and curving waters with views of Fitz Roy at the back. An ideal area to get used to the raft and to practice the rowing techniques explained before. The second area goes over a  canyon area. After the initial rapid, we find a succession of rapids for 9 km. Towards the end, an area of 1 km of calm water await for us!. At the end of the tour, we get off the raft and our vehicle take us back to El Chaltén.

Children under 12 to 18 must be accompanied by one of their parents. Minimum age 12 years old.

Difficulty: average (no previous Rafting experience required).

Duration: between 2 and 3 hours.

-Regular tour departs everyday from October to April, pick up time around 10.00 am and 15.00 pm. From November, if you are coming from El Calafate (except Thursdays).
-Private tour departure schedule is coordinated previously with the passenger depending on their availability.
