From a population, economic and cultural point of view, Tucumán it is the province of greater importance of the Region of the Argentinean northwest. Its capital is the city of San Miguel de Tucumán.
Salta is the capital city of the homonimous province. It is situated in one of the most fertile and nicest sites ever created by nature in this region. During this tour you will also visited a World Heritage: Humahuaca Gorge. Located in the province of Jujuy, you will enjoy charming villages as Purmamarca. This small village from the beginning of the XVII century, of prehispanic origin, located at 2192 meters above sea level and 3 kilometers away to the East of National Route Nº 9 which links it to the Capital City of Jujuy after riding 65 kilometers.
The Jujuy valley, at the exit of the Humahuaca Gorge, is an area well irrigated by rivers that functioned as an entrance on the Argentine plateau from Potosí (Bolivia) – about 600 km north – on the route to Tucumán (Argentina) – about 400 km to the south – and Buenos Aires – to more than 1600 km to the southeast.
