Overview
Discover with us one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the north of Chile, which during the last years has revived its historical charms after becoming one of the main mining centers of Chile. Its main attraction is the Natural Monument La Portada, the classic rock formation that has been the icon of Antofagasta for years. They follow the historical quarter, where the building of the Railroad of Antofagasta to Bolivia and that was declared National Monument, the place Columbus, and the Cathedral San José. In the center of the city we can visit the park of Avenida Brasil, the Ruins of Huanchaca and its Museum. Finally we will meet Caleta Coloso, where Minera Escondida ships the copper through a mining pipeline of 170 kilometers long and where there is also the center of artisanal fishermen.
