Overview

Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called moai, created by the early Rapa Nui people. In 1995, UNESCO named Easter Island a World Heritage Site, with much of the island protected within Rapa Nui National Park. It is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world.

The program ends at about 4pm, therefore it is important to book a late afternoon flight.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    EASTER ISLAND

    Reception at the airport and transfer IN (IN GROUP, WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE) to the hotel. Overnight in Easter Island, standard room

  2. Day 2

    EASTER ISLAND – RANO KAU VOLCANO

    REGULAR HALF DAY excursion (approx. 3-4 hours) IN GROUP, WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE During this excursion you go up to the extinct volcano RANO KAU, where a round view over the whole island with its coast, volcanoes and the village of HANGA ROA awaits you. The second viewpoint you visit lets you appreciate the crater of RANO KAU with its lagoon. Afterwards you arrive at the ceremonial village of ORONGO, where the ceremony and the competition of the bird man – TANGATA MANU - took place. Then you visit the Ahu VINAPU with its architecture that reminds one of the constructions of pre-inca people. At the end of this excursion we visit the cave ANA KAI TANGATA where we can appreciate cave paintings. Overnight in Easter Island, standard room (B)

  3. Day 3

    EASTER ISLAND – AHU AKAHANGA

    EASTER ISLAND – AHU AKAHANGA Eventually you arrive at the beach of ANAKENA where you can find 2 platforms, the Ahu NAU NAU and the Ahu ATURE HUKI both restored. Here you can enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific and take a rest at the beach. Afterwards you return to the hotel. Overnight in Easter Island, standard room (B,L)

  4. Day 4

    EASTER ISLAND - DEPARTURE

    Farewell and transfer OUT to the airport. IN GROUP, WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE. (B)
