Day 1
Check-in between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM (13:00 – 17:00 hrs) at Av. Costanera del Estrecho 1398 (Arturo Prat Pier), Punta Arenas. Boarding at 6:00 PM (18:00 hrs).
Welcome toast and introduction of the Captain and crew. Afterward, the vessel will set sail toward the far south. Navigating through the legendary Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel, you will journey through Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Day 2
We will arrive in the vicinity of Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay, where we will learn how life returns following the retreat of the ice. We will embark on a hike to discover a beaver dam and explore the wonderful sub-Antarctic Magellanic forest that surrounds it.
We will visit the Tuckers Islets, where from Zodiac boats we will spot Magellanic penguins and cormorants.
NOTE: In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a walk near a glacier in Brookes Bay.
Day 3
We will sail through the Northwest Arm of the Beagle Channel to enter and disembark at Pía Fjord. We will take an excursion to a viewpoint to observe the eponymous glacier, whose main tongue extends from high in the mountain range down to the sea.
Following this unforgettable experience, we will continue our navigation under the majestic sight of "Glacier Alley" (Avenue of the Glaciers).
Day 4
We will arrive at Cape Horn National Park, where we will disembark if weather conditions permit.
In the afternoon, we will disembark at Wulaia Bay, a historic site that was once one of the largest settlements of the indigenous Yámana (Yaghan) canoe people. We will hike up to a viewpoint, walking through the Magellanic forest, where lengas, coigües, canelos (winter's bark), and ferns grow, among other species.
Day 5
Port of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
Disembarkation at 8:30 AM or 9:00 AM (08:30 / 09:00 hrs), depending on the sailing date.
Arrival in Ushuaia, the most important Argentine city in Tierra del Fuego and the southernmost city in the world.
