FLY & DRIVE: NORTHEAST DEEP NATURE – 7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS

Upon your arrival at Puerto Iguazú Airport in the morning we will give you the welcome at the airport and will deliver you the vehicle to start this adventure! After leaving your luggage at the hotel, you can drive to The Brazilian Iguazú Falls National Park. There you will find panoramic views of the falls which are almost 3 km long and 270 cascades. This tour takes a 1000 meter easy walk that lasts approximately 1 hour and finishes in the canyon of the Devil’s Throat. You can also visit the Birds Park witch is located near by the National Park (300m).  Or drive to the Itaipú dam (50km) from the falls, where you can take a guided tour. This dam was ranked as the biggest engineer masterwork shared by Brazil and Paraguay, built on the Paraná River. In the afternoon return to Puerto Iguazú. Main Attractions: Falls, Birds Park, City. Overnight in Puerto Iguazú, standard room.

Breakfast. Early in the morning (we recommend set off at 07.30am) you will drive to the Argentine Iguazú Falls National Park (19km). There you will experience the Argentine side of the magnificent Iguazu Falls in three parts with different perspectives:  Devil’s Throat, Upper Walk and Lower Path. Optional tours:  sailings, zodiac navigation to get close to the falls and jungle trips Overnight in Puerto Iguazú, standard room. (B)

Breakfast. Today you will have the opportunity to drive south along Yerba Mate and pine tree plantations to the Wanda gems mine (52km). After the visit, drive to the well-known and remarkably interesting San Ignacio Mini Jesuit Mission ruins (197km) and there you can take a guided visit of the area. The Jesuit Mission ruins were declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site in 1983. In the heart of a tropical forest, the ruins of San Ignacio, Santa Ana, Nuestra Señora de Loreto and Santa María la Mayor in Argentina are the striking remains of four Jesuit missions, built in the land of the Guarani Indians during the 17th and 18th centuries, each one characterized by a specific layout and a different state of conservation.  When you are ready drive to Posadas City (65km), check in at the hotel. At night you can have dinner at one of the restaurants on the waterfront. Overnight in Posadas, standard room. (B)

Breakfast. Today you will drive to the Iberá Swamps (210km). The journey is made in 3 hours. Approx. Transfers only use 4X4 vehicles for access to the Nature Reserve. Arrival at Iberá Lodge, Coffee break, Welcome drink with “Chipa correntino” (regional pastry) and Dinner at the Lodge. Overnight in a Lodge in Iberá (Colonia Pellegrini town). (CB, D)

Lunch in the open dinning room overlooking the blue lagoon.   Relax & Leisure. Coffee break Afternoon Outing:  GUIDED TREKKING IN THE FOREST. VISIT TO THE INTERPRETATION CENTER.  “Asado” at the Lodge - Overnight in a Lodge in Iberá (Colonia Pellegrini town). (B, L, CB, D)

Breakfast.  Morning Outing:  2nd GUIDED OUTING IN MOTORBOAT FOR WILD FAUNA WATCHING. Lunch in the open dinning room overlooking the blue lagoon.  Relax & Leisure Coffee break Afternoon Outing: GUIDED TREKKING THROUGH GRASSLANDS & SABANA “PASO CLARO” or “CAMBA TRAPO”.  OPTIONALS: Night trekking OR HD Guided horseback riding. * Options for birdwatchers, photographers, naturalists and walkers:  LONG TREKKING THROUGH THE GRASSLANDS & SABANA and Palm trees Forest with Pic- Nic in the Wild (lunch box). Breakfast. Morning Outing: GUIDED OUTING IN MOTORBOAT WITH SHORT TREKKING FOR WILD FAUNA WATCHING. Relax & Leisure. Lunch in the open dinning room overlooking the blue lagoon.  Coffee break Late Check Out – in the afternoon. You will drive to Posadas Airport (195km) (3 hours approx.) Return your rental car and take your departure flight.
