Overview
In this magical experience of adventure and local gastronomy, we will venture to the last inhabited corner of our country: Puerto Almanza, a fishing village. It all starts in the morning when we pick them up from their accommodation and head towards the outskirts of the city. After taking RN No. 3 and crossing views of valleys and winter centers, we turn south along the complementary route J- Crab Route, we will stop at the shores of the Lasifashaj River to admire its meanders, charge energy and interpret a landscape of peace and beauty, there we enjoyed a coffee with Cerro Cornú framing the landscape.The journey continues, first the southern Brown Bay, from where we can see the Chilean city of Puerto Williams and Gable Island on the other side of the Beagle Channel, then we will arrive at the village of Puerto Almanza, home to artisanal fishermen and the last inhabited place in Argentina. From there in our boat, we will navigate the channel in an unforgettable way, the size of our boat will allow us to get closer and have privileged views of these pristine corners, we will cross the waters like the ancient Yamanas canoeists through the Guaraní pass, spotting the southern birds, we will skirt Gable Island until we reach Martillo Island, there in its natural habitat we will have the privilege of admiring the colonies of Magellanic, Papua and King Penguins.Having returned to land, we will continue the adventure to Punta Paraná, once there we will do an entertaining low-intensity mini-trek to the Cascada de los duendes and finally we will arrive at our sea stove: LA OVEJA, a magical place, where the immensity of the view will leave us speechless. La OVEJA is our country restaurant, there we will taste the best fresh products of the area, the result of artisanal fishing, unique for their quality and purity. After dessert, with coffee and many shared stories in between, we return to Ushuaia.
